Woodward Academy sixth-grade science teacher Danise Fields participated in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day 60-mile breast cancer walk in Atlanta Oct. 7-9. In her sixth consecutive walk, Ms. Fields' team raised more than $24,000 to help bring an end to breast cancer. The Komen 3-Day has raised more than $800 million to date to fund national research programs, community health and advocacy, global partnerships, along with local community education, screening, diagnosis and treatment assistance, and patient services.
