Students in Cherokee, Forsyth and Cobb county schools will not have to make up this month’s snow days, officials say.

In Forsyth County, students and teachers were asked to conduct class online.

“We have been doing online learning days for the past three years for when we have had to close school, so the students [and] staff have already made up their time,” Forsyth County Schools Director of Communications Jennifer Caracciolo said in an email.

In Cobb County, four makeup days were already built into the schedule. Because schools were closed for just two days, the district does not have to add any days to the school year, Cobb County Schools Director of Communications Donna Lowry said.

In Cherokee County, teachers and staff will have to make up the missed days, but students will not, said Barbara Jacoby, director of public information, communications and strategic planning for Cherokee County Schools.
