The Georgia Senate unanimously approved legislation that requires public schools to post their budgets online.

House Bill 659 passed 50-0 near midnight Thursday.

Lawmakers were talking as fast as auctioneers to get their bills approved on Sine Die, the last day for approval in 2016. HB 659 had passed the Georgia House 162-0. The Senate voted to agree to House amendments to Senate substitutes of HB 659, which requires public schools to publish expenses "prominently" on their websites.
