Col. Patricia M. Ross, the vice-commander of the 78th Air Base Wing at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, has been selected as director of military affairs for the Technical College System of Georgia.

Ross is retiring after a 25-year Air Force career and joins the TCSG on August 1.

She will be assigned to the system’s headquarters in Atlanta until a new veterans’ gateway center opens in Warner Robbins. The $10 million facility, to be located on 44 acres of land across from Robins Air Force Base, is expected to open in the fall. The TCSG and the University System of Georgia are partners on the project that will provide the military and their family members with help with education, credit transfer, training and job placement.
