Atlanta Public Schools named a new principal to lead John Wesley Dobbs Elementary School.

The school board on Monday approved the promotion of assistant principal Tiffany Ragin to principal of the school at 2025 Jonesboro Road SE.

Ragin replaces Dobbs principal Charnita West, who is resigning at the end of the school year.

Ragin’s 21 year career at APS includes previous work as a middle school English, social studies and writing teacher. She’s also worked as an instructional coach and as an assistant principal at Crawford Long Middle School.
