Atlanta Public Schools has advertised three principal vacancies for next school year.

The district is accepting applications for principal jobs, including openings at an elementary school and two high schools.

The openings include the principal post at John Wesley Dobbs Elementary School, where Charnita West has been principal since 2013. The school board on Monday formally accepted a staffing report that included her resignation, which is effective June 28.

The district also is looking for principals to lead Benjamin E. Mays High School and Booker T. Washington High School. The Mays principal is resigning at the end of this school year. The Washington principal also is leaving her current post at the end of the school year and will use next year to prepare for her role as the new principal of the Atlanta College & Career Academy, slated to open in 2020.

The salary range for principals is: $92,322 to $126,600 for elementary principals; $96,938 to $132,929 for middle school principals; and $101,785 to $139,577 for high school principals.

Candidates should have at least a master’s degree and seven years of experience, including three in a school leadership role.
