The Board of Regents for the University System of Georgia has named a Michigan college administrator as president of Georgia Highlands College.

Donald Green, vice president for extended and international operations at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan, will begin his new position at the Rome, Ga. college on September 8.

Georgia Highlands College serves about 5,700 students at six locations. Former president Randy Pierce retired in December 2011. A national search was conducted to find his permanent replacement.
