Incomplete school bus accident data worries officials

About once a day, a public school student in Georgia is injured in a school bus accident, state data shows.

Through November, 302 students and bus drivers were injured in bus accidents, according to Georgia Department of Education data sent earlier this month to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

State officials say some school districts aren’t giving them complete accident data, which some worry hinders their efforts to improve school bus safety.
