Gwinnett working to restore power in schools

Feb 17, 2015

Gwinnett County school officials were working to restore power to part of North Gwinnett High School that was still without electricity Tuesday afternoon.

About 20 Gwinnett schools had power problems, said school district spokeswoman Sloan Roach. The district closed schools Tuesday in anticipation of a storm that was expected to create slick roadways. Large parts of Gwinnett County lost power because of the storm.

Roach said the district anticipated North Gwinnett High will have power throughout the entire school later today.
