A Gwinnett County woman was recently arrested on charges she stole money from the PTA at the elementary school where she worked.

Jennifer Obando, 34, of Buford, was arrested on March 14 and charged with fraud, police records show. A police report shows Nesbit Elementary School PTA president Ebony I. Jones went to authorities in December to report that money was missing from the PTA fund. The report says the exact amount of money missing is under investigation.

Obando worked for two years at the school as a clerk and was the PTA’s treasurer. She left the Gwinnett school district in June, officials said.
