A private school in Gwinnett County is planning a $10 million expansion to build a middle school facility with a fine arts center that will have space for choral, band and visual arts lessons, in addition to private music rooms for specialized instruction.

Hebron Christian Academy, in Dacula, announced the plans late last week. The expansion will also include science labs, a student services center and staff offices. The 28,000-square-foot facility is scheduled to open by the fall 2017 semester, officials said.

Founded in 1999, Hebron Christian Academy is a college-preparatory, kindergarten through 12th-grade school that serves more than 900 students.
