Some Georgia high schools come out well in a new school rating system put out by The Washington Post.

Top of the list is the Gwinnett School of Science, Match and Technology, which has made several lists as Georgia's best high school.

The newspaper’s rating is based on the number of college-level tests divided by the number of students the previous year, the number of students who passed a college-level tests and other factors.

Other tops finishers in the metro Atlanta area are Cambridge High in Fulton County (Milton), which came in at 3rd best in Georgia. Cobb County’s Walton High clocked in at 5th best.

Chamblee Charter in DeKalb County was 7th. Elite Scholars Academy in Clayton County was 8th. Two other metro high schools rounded out the top 10, with Alpharetta High at 9th, and DeKalb School of the Arts at number 10.
