UPDATE: Some Morehouse students moved after flooding

About 30 Morehouse College students displaced Tuesday night by flooding in its oldest dorm will be relocated to unoccupied residential facilities on campus, school officials said Wednesday afternoon.
Morehouse residence hall officials said the flood at Graves House began after a pipe burst in the 130-year-old building at 11:22 p.m. and severely impacted 15 rooms. The building was evacuated as water spread to other rooms and common areas. There were no injuries.
The college said the flood was caused by an issue with the sprinkler system in the building.
CAMPUS ALERT: The sprinkler system on the fourth floor of Graves Hall has malfunctioned, causing flooding and damage to the building. It is estimated that 11-15 residential spaces were severely affected. All residents have been relocated. Additional information is forthcoming.

About 110 students were placed in unoccupied rooms in other residence halls Tuesday. Morehouse officials said Wednesday they inspected the building and that approximately 80 students would be cleared to return to their rooms.
The American Red Cross was notified to assist with property losses, which included books, electronics, clothing and shoes.

Morehouse officials said donations can be made calling 404-215-2634 or 470-639-0519.
The college, located near downtown Atlanta, has more than 2,000 students.
