After a failed attempt to find a consultant to help hire a superintendent, the DeKalb County Board of Education went back to the drawing board with another solicitation.

The results from the second “request for qualifications” of superintendent search firms are in, and the board is scheduled to discuss them at a 2 p.m. work session today.

Time is running out to find a successor to Superintendent Michael Thurmond, whose contract expires in June.
