Clayton County school officials have proposed maintaining the current property tax rate.

The rate, about 19.1 mills, will be discussed at a series of public hearings in the next few weeks.

The schedule is:

  • Thursday, July 14, 6 p.m.
  • Monday, July 25, 11 a.m.
  • Monday, July 25, 5 p.m.

All three public hearings will be at the school district’s headquarters, 1058 Fifth Ave. in Jonesboro.
