College-bound high school students, and their parents, may have their steepest learning curve yet ahead of them.

There are looming deadlines for filling out the FAFSA form, the overly long federal document that helps determine types of financing a student could receive, and for sending in everything a college or university has asked for.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has put together information for those who are pushing up against the May 1 deadline to commit to a college or university. And it has gathered other helpful information about college costs and some consolatory help for those who may not have gotten into the college of their choice.
