Atlanta Public Schools’ performance on the state report card declined across all grade levels.

The results of the 2016 College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) released Thursday show the district hovering just above what the state considers a failing score, with 63.3 points for high schools, 61.5 for middle schools and 65.6 for elementary schools.

That’s down from 66.1 for high schools in 2015, 64.5 for middle schools that year and 67.9 for elementary schools.

The Governor’s Office of Student Achievement has set 60 points as the minimum score for passing on the 0 to 110 point CCRPI, which is assembled by the Georgia Department of Education.

Schools get points for performance on a variety of measures, including graduation and attendance rates, STEM certification, inclusion of students with disabilities in general classrooms or participation in accelerated classes like Advanced Placement. By far the most important measure, though, is performance on state standardized tests, currently the Georgia Milestones.
