Atlanta school district official are considering changing bus routes in the wake of the I-85 bridge collapse.

The district’s transportation department will handle bus routes for Atlanta Public School’s Spring Break Academy, which starts Monday, and then consider route changes for regular school days starting Monday, April 10, Superintendent Meria Carstarphen said today.

Carstarphen said too that the city had agreed to help provide traffic control around North Atlanta High School, Sutton Middle School, and E. Rivers, Jackson, Brandon and Smith elementary schools in the afternoon.

Districtwide, most buses were on time today, though about 35 buses serving North Atlanta and nearby schools were late, she said.
