The number of teachers who left the DeKalb County School District during the previous school year is growing.

Another 113 teachers resigned their positions in June 2018. That means at least 795 teachers left the district during the last school year, according to monthly reports compiled by the district. The number is still lower than recent years, which saw about 900 teachers depart each year.

District officials did not include a report in July showing an additional number of teachers resigned their posts after the deadline to accept contracts had passed.

The July Human Capital Management report included numbers for total resignations. Typically, the district gives names of new hires, resignations and terminations.
