About 50,000 gently used children’s books are being given away Saturday near Atlanta’s West End neighborhood to promote reading and literacy.

Better World Books is distributing the books through a philanthropic initiative to provide reading materials to communities in need.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at KIPP Strive Academy at 1444 Lucile Ave. SW, Atlanta, GA 30310.
