Lane closings this weekend: Spaghetti Junction bridge work, more

Here is the latest information on lane closings, and possible traffic delays, this weekend in Atlanta, per GDOT.

I-285

• Two northbound and two southbound lanes will close on from Church Street to U.S. 78 from 7:30 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday for sign structure work.

• Striping southbound will require up to three lane closures from Chamblee Tucker Road to East Ponce de Leon/Church Street nightly from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

• One lane will close on the westbound collector-distributer lane from SR 14 Spur/SR 279/Old National Highway to Washington Road from 7 a.m. to early afternoon on Saturday for sign structure work.

• Two northbound lanes will close northbound from Washington Road to SR  6/Camp Creek Parkway from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

• One lane will close northbound at South Atlanta Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 1 a.m. Saturday for restriping.

• Two northbound lanes will close from Bolton Road to South Atlanta Road continuously from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for concrete rehabilitation.

• Two southbound lanes will close from SR 154/SR 166/Campbellton Road/Langford Parkway to SR 6/Camp Creek Parkway continuously from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for concrete rehabilitation and curing.

• Work on Spaghetti Junction will require one eastbound and one westbound lane closure inside of Spaghetti Junction over I-85 continuously from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

• One lane will close on the eastbound off-ramp to I-85 southbound from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for work on Spaghetti Junction.

• The last of the bridge work on Spaghetti Junction will require traffic to shift onto the exit ramp from I-285 eastbound to Chamblee Tucker Road continuously from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. But this area will stay open during work.

• The Express Lanes project will require two lane closures eastbound at the I-75 interchange from 9 p.m. Friday until 10 a.m. Saturday.

I-85

• One left lane will close on the northbound off-ramp to I-285 westbound 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

• Traffic will shift on the northbound off-ramp to Pleasantdale Road and Northcrest Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m., Monday. But the ramp will stay open at all times.

I-20

• Bridge work will require two westbound lanes to close from SR 12/US 278 to Alcovy Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

I-75

• Southbound the Express Lanes project will require a pacing operation at the Canton Road Connector from 9 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday to set beams.

• Work on the South Metro Express Lanes will require one lane closure southbound from SR 20/SR 81 to  Jonesboro Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Monday.

I-575

• The Express Lanes project will also require one northbound and one southbound lane closure from Chastain Road to Bells Ferry Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday.

State roads, highways and surface streets

• On U.S. 78 one eastbound shoulder will close from the I-285 interchange to Memorial Drive and two westbound lanes will close from Hugh Howell Road to North Hariston Road nightly from 9 p.m. to until 5 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

• Pipeline construction will require one lane closure at SR 237/Piedmont Road and Habersham Road from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

• One lane will close on SR 10/Freedom Parkway at US 78/US 278/ Ponce de Leon Avenue daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

• On SR 154/Memorial Drive, one lane will close between Moreland Avenue and Wilkinson Drive and one lane will close on SR 154/Memorial Drive between East Lake Drive and Candler Road. Both closures are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

• One lane will close on SR 155/Candler Road from McAfee Road to Whites Mill Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday for sidewalk work.
