Atlanta firefighters responded to a popular Midtown restaurant adjacent to the Fox Theatre after a kitchen fire broke out Tuesday morning.

Crews arrived at the Publik Draft House along Peachtree Street to check on a fire alarm about 9:35 a.m. At the scene, they found light smoke coming from underneath the door of the restaurant, Atlanta fire spokeswoman Alyssa Richardson said.

Ultimately, the small fire inside the kitchen was extinguished by the restaurant’s sprinkler system, Richardson said. The fire did not spread to the neighboring theater, she said.

Richardson did not say if anyone was inside the restaurant at the time of the fire, but no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
