A man already in jail on unrelated charges now is accused in the January shooting death of a Rockmart 19-year-old, police said.

Demon Eugene Wilson, 33, of Cedartown, has been charged with murder in the death of Desmond "Bud" Kinnemore, who was found shot to death Jan. 8 in a ditch near his Polk County home, according to police.

Wilson’s list of charges now include malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, Polk County jail records show.

Wilson is also the subject of a federal firearms investigation, according to Rockmart police. Several agencies have assisted in the investigation into Kinnemore’s death, including Polk County police, the GBI, the FBI and federal ATF officials.

More arrests in the case are possible, Rockmart police said.
