An 18-year-old inmate awaiting trial escaped from the Franklin County jail Friday morning, according to the sheriff of the north Georgia county. The manhunt continued Friday evening, the sheriff said.

Keibran Cevious Brock was being held on charges of aggravated assault, armed robbery and multiple counts of residential burglary when he escaped, Sheriff Steve Thomas said. When he’s captured, Brock will face an additional felony escape charge, Thomas said.

Brock was reported missing from the detention center recreation area around 10:22 a.m. and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and orange shorts, the sheriff’s office said. He is 6 feet tall and weighs 160 pounds, and investigators believe he stole a 2006 Gray Cadillac, Thomas said.

The car was later located, but Brock wasn’t, Thomas said Friday night.

Anyone with information about Brock's whereabouts is asked to contact the Franklin County Sheriff's Office or the GBI.
