Miami-Dade police are seeking a 38-year-old homeless man they said broke into the Palmetto Bay Village Hall on Thursday morning, WPLG reported.

Authorities said Marcelin Holdson broke into the building around 6 a.m. the television station reported.

"Once inside, he vandalized and destroyed property in the lobby and adjoining offices,'' Miami-Dade police detective Lee Cowan told the Sun-Sentinel.

The Miami-Dade Police Department identified Holdson after obtaining surveillance video, WPLG reported.

No one was injured during the incident because the building was empty, Palmetto Bay Mayor Karyn Cunningham said in a message to residents and businesses.
