Women in several North Georgia counties will get access to new health care.

Northside Hospital’s Cancer Institute has been awarded $50,000 under the Georgia Access to Care, Treatment and Services grant program. The money will fund screening, mammogram and other breast diagnostic procedures for women unable to afford them.

Applicants will have to meet eligibility requirements and live in Dawson, Hall, Pickens and Lumpkin counties.
