There's no doubt that football fans in the South, and especially Alabama, take their college football very seriously. Games are considered almost a 'religious' experience for die-hard fans. Top players and coaches are elevated to near god-like status in the Southeastern Conference. Now, a bar in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, the home of the defending national champion University of Alabama Crimson Tide, has taken things to the highest (or lowest depending on your point of view) level.
The Druid City Brewing Co. has put up a mural of Alabama's legendary football coach Paul "Bear" Bryant and current head coach Nick Saban, which portrays the two football coaching stars in a replica of the famous "The Creation of Adam" fresco painting by Michelangelo. Michelangelo's famous art work is located in a place with a bit more history and reverence, the Sistine Chapel. But Druid City does make its own pale ale and have big screen TVs; advantage Druid City.
Rumor has it a bar in Auburn may soon put up a similar of Bryant and Saban, but based on Dante's Inferno.
