According to the Jacksonville Beach Police Department, the staff said the teen ignored them, so they contacted the campus police officer at St. Paul's Catholic School, who found two semi-automatic handguns on the teen.

The teen was also wearing a rolled-up knit stocking cap that when unrolled was a full ski mask, according to police.

The teen gave the officer several fake names, but the officer was able to confirm the 16-year-old's identity and arrested the teen, according to police.

Police said the teen will be charged with the following:

  • Two counts of possession of a firearm on school property.
  • One count of possession of a weapon by a delinquent juvenile.
  • One count of giving a false name to law enforcement.
