Sandy Springs police arrested an Alabama man who fled officers who pursued him following a burglary call.

Anthony Reed Eden, 43, of Smiths Station, Ala., was taken into custody, police said Tuesday.

Police were responding to a suspicious vehicle call on Riverside Drive when a burglary call was received in the same area. A police officer tried to stop a truck at Riverside Drive and I-285 and the driver took off eastbound on I-285 and then wrecked while exiting Glenridge Drive.

A number of items were recovered from the vehicle which the police said they are investigating as possibly stolen.

Eden, who suffered minor injuries, was being treated at Grady Memorial.

Police said Eden is wanted on vehicle theft charges by authorities in Columbus, Ga. and in Seminole County, Fla.
