The father of a missing Michigan girl whose mother was found shot to death this week in Detroit has been arrested in metro Atlanta.

Fulton County Jail records show that Erin Justice was booked into the jail Wednesday, charged by the FBI with being a fugitive from justice.

The Detroit Free Press reported today that Detroit police Chief James Craig said at a news conference that investigators have flown to Atlanta to interview Justice and are seeking a murder charge.

Police in Michigan continue to search for 8-month-old Kristian Justice and her 6-year-old sister, Kaylah Hunter.

On Monday, police found the body of the missing girls' mother, Alicia Fox, in the basement of an abandoned Detroit home, according to the Free Press.

The newspaper reported that Fox, whose body was found wrapped in blankets, had been shot multiple times.

When police searched the home Fox shared with Justice and her daughters, they found a bullet lodged in a wall and blood spattered on a bedroom ceiling, the Free Press reported.
