Thousands of people on social media spent their last day of 2020 speaking on the happenings of the year, making plans for 2021 or, you guessed it, mocking their fellow social user for making New Year’s resolutions.

Like any day on Instagram or Twitter, the newsfeeds are filled with funny, irreverent and occasionally enlightening posts. In honor of the new year, some have made it to the top of the social food chain by posting or creating notably entertaining memes.
