President Barack Obama wants your children to have more time learning and less time taking standardized tests.

The number of tests being given in schools has taken too much time away from teaching and creativity in schools, Obama said Saturday. He admitted the administration played a role in the testing, USA Today reported.

To cut back, Obama recommended limiting standardized testing to no more than 2 percent of a student's instructional classroom time.

"Learning is about so much more than filling in the right bubble, so we're going to work with states, school districts, teachers and parents to make sure that we're not obsessing about testing," Obama said in Facebook video.

Obama did not specify what tests should stay or which ones should go, allowing districts to make the decision since testing is different in each state, CNN reported.

The 10-page guideline Obama introduced Saturday will not replace No Child Left Behind as of now, but Congress can amend the law to include the latest recommendations so districts would be required to follow.

More details on the plan will be released in January, CNN reported.
