A Texas dad has some tough questions for his son's middle school after he noticed a homework assignment that examines the cocaine trade.
The assignment, which was supposedly designed to test critical thinking using sequences, showed the steps of the drug trade from cartels, how it is smuggled into the country and how it is distributed and sold, KTRK reported.
"I was shocked by it. It startled me," Scott Pick said. "I grabbed the paper immediately."
Pick said the lesson can be useful, but not in sixth grade and not in science class.
When asked by KTRK, the school district said they are reviewing the assignment for further use, but did not elaborate.
