A dog was killed in a fire at a Hall County mobile home early Monday, officials said.

Three people were displaced due to the blaze, according to a statement from Hall County Fire Services spokesman Zachary Brackett.

The fire broke out just after 5 a.m., Brackett said. Firefighters arrived to see about half of the mobile home on fire.

None of the residents or firefighters were injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Earlier in the weekend, Gainesville crews fought a fire at the Hall County Humane Society. A large heating unit outside the building was on fire, emanating heavy smoke, the Gainesville Fire Department said in a statement.

All of the animals were evacuated from the building and none were injured.
