Family members of a Gwinnett County woman who has been missing for more than a week told Channel 2 Action News they are worried after police found blood in the woman’s apartment.
Police said Ceaulovone Milner, 45, was last seen March 28.
Milner left a friend’s house and said she would call when she got to her home at the Indian Trail Apartments, Gwinnett police Cpl. Michele Pihera said. Milner never made that call, police said.
When Milner’s daughter arrived at her mother’s apartment March 31, she found Milner’s vehicle in a parking lot near the apartment. The woman’s cellphone and keys were missing.
“She loved her car and she was always in it, so it’s unusual for her car to be there and her keys not be there,” Shalon Jones, Milner’s sister, told Channel 2.
Gwinnett police are treating the situation as a missing persons case, but investigators say because some blood was found in Milner’s apartment, and items may be missing, they plan to look for additional evidence inside the home.
“We are just trying to cover all of our bases and, out of an abundance of caution, investigate this case to the best of our ability,” Gwinnett police Cpl. Deon Washington told Channel 2.
