Officials with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children on Tuesday asked the public to help them find a 16-year-old North Georgia girl who has not been seen since December.

Michelle Long last was seen Dec. 11 in Dalton, officials said.

“There is reason to believe that Michelle may travel to the areas of Chattanooga, Tenn., or Cedartown, Ga.,” the Center said in a statement.

Michelle is described as 5-foot-3 and about 180 pounds. When she was last seen, her hair was colored red, according to the statement. She has pierced ears, multiple tattoos and may wear glasses.

Anyone with knowledge of Long’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Center at 1-800-843-5678 or Dalton police at 706-278-9085.
