Authorities have identified the man who was killed early Tuesday in an apparent hit-and-run in DeKalb County.

The body of the man, identified Wednesday by the DeKalb medical examiner as Dan Rosen, 58, of Atlanta, was found in the 1600 block of Briarcliff Road, police spokeswoman Shiera Campbell said.

Officers responded about 3:30 a.m. to a person-down call, Campbell said.

Medical workers performed CPR on Rosen, who was on the ground near Briarcrest Townhomes, Campbell said.

Evidence suggested Rosen was hit by a vehicle, Campbell said. No witnesses were at the scene.

Rosen was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead about 4 a.m., Campbell said.

Further details were not available. The investigation is ongoing.
