A Macon man who allegedly posted a Facebook threat to "kill all white cops" has been released from jail, according to a media report.

Prosecutors in the Macon Judicial Circuit dropped charges against Derrick “De De” Hudson, 19, because they do not have jurisdiction, the Telegraph reported.

Hudson was arrested earlier in July after allegedly making the post on the Facebook page of a Macon television station, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. He had been charged with soliciting people to commit murder.

His comments were linked to a TV station post showing a video of Alton Sterling’s son speaking out about his father’s death. Baton Rouge police shot and killed Sterling on July 5 in an incident that was captured on video. His death prompted days of nationwide protests.
