A witness told Atlanta police a man walked up to a car on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and fired several times at the driver at 12:36 p.m. Saturday.

The man in a black Buick Lacrosse was shot in the head and in the chest, Atlanta police spokesman Sgt. Warren Pickard said.

His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Immediately following the shooting, a suspect was caught on camera running.
