UPDATE: Gwinnett SWAT team takes several people into custody

Several people have been taken into custody after a Gwinnett County SWAT team surrounded a house on Richmond Way about 3 p.m. Thursday, police said.

Officers chased what they believed to be a stolen car to the property and the driver ran inside, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. Deon Washington said suspects inside the home, who were believed to be armed and wanted, refused to cooperate with police so the SWAT team was called.
