A Douglas County woman has been accused of causing the death of her 82-year-old mother in a crash near Austell.

Walls was riding in the front passenger seat of Wimpey’s gray Nissan Rogue that afternoon when Wimpey tried to turn left from C.H. James Parkway onto Humphries Hill Road, according to Cobb County police. The Nissan collided with the front of a black Ford F-150 going the opposite direction.

Walls died at the scene. Her daughter was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment of her injuries and was later released.

The driver of the Ford sustained minor injuries and was treated on the scene.

Cobb County police obtained a warrant for Wimpey’s arrest on Wednesday. She has not been booked at the county jail as of Friday, online records show.
