People were quick to help Tia Young and her children in November when her husband, a security guard, was shot to death outside their house.

“Trying to help them out when we can,” neighbor Marcelo Bump told Channel 2 Action News.

The situation is different now, since Tia Young and her alleged lover, Harvey “Tim” Lee, were charged Monday with murder in connection with her husband’s death.

Police said a $1 million insurance policy on George Young was motivation for the incident.

Both Tia Young and Lee are in the Gwinnett County jail without bond.

Before the suspects were charged, friends had set up a GoFundMe site. There was even a food train.

“There’s also a catering company in Flowery Branch ... that we had set up for them to bring food over,” Bump said.

That GoFundMe page has been taken down, and people who contributed to it said they are getting a refund.

Also, Bump has put up a new GoFundMe page to benefit the three children and their grandmother, Channel 2 reported.

“It’s definitely not to help those responsible for the tragic event, but for those affected by it, and those are the kids,” he said. “They’re going through a lot and now they’ve lost both their parents.”
