A Fort Valley police officer was arrested Friday and accused of using his position to obtain personal identification documents, the GBI said in a news release.

Vetrimyer “Vet” Miller, 45, of Warner Robins, turned himself in to the Peach County Sheriff’s Office.

He admitted to illegally accessing Georgia Department of Motor Vehicles registration documents in July 2017, authorities said. He used the database to get private registration information about someone not under investigation.

Miller is charged with the unlawful possession of identification documents.
