Two men have been arrested in connection with the spray-painting of satanic symbols inside a Henry County church, police said.

Nathanial E. Rabideau, 19, of McDonough, and Tyler A. Casey, 19, of Monroe, are charged with burglary, criminal damage to property and vandalism to a place of worship, Capt. Joey Smith said.

Authorities responded Monday to the Seed Planters Church in McDonough in the 4000 block of Ga. 81 East.

Someone had broken into the church, which plans to have its first service on Easter, and spray-painted a pentagram and other satanic symbols on the walls, police said.

The church also was ransacked. Damage was estimated at $10,000.

“During the course of a neighborhood canvas in the area of the church, one of the suspects contacted 911 to turn himself into police,” Smith said. “Both suspects were identified and warrants were obtained.”
