Two 18-year-old boys were arrested Thursday on charges they trapped another teenager inside a Publix bathroom and did not let him out until he handed over his belongings.
Roderick Doral Fountain and Alim Njai Yilla, both of Snellville, were identified after Gwinnett County police released surveillance images and asked for the public’s help.

They are both facing a single count of robbery in connection with the incident Nov. 9 at the Publix at 3550 Centerville Highway, according to police. The 14-year-old victim told investigators he was using the restroom when he was confronted by two young men.

They allegedly blocked the door until he gave them his iPhone and AirPods headphones. With items in hand, the teens immediately left the store, police said.
The 14-year-old waited until they had gone before he went to find his mother, and she called police. He described one of the alleged robbers as having a tattoo with cursive letters over his left eye.
“After the initial media release was published in this case, the lead detective was able to identify the robbery suspects,” police spokeswoman Cpl. Michele Pihera said Friday.
Fountain and Yilla are both being held in the Gwinnett jail in lieu of $16,700 bond. Both have been arrested multiple times in the past year, online jail records show.
