The Atlanta Police released a sketch Wednesday of a suspect who allegedly raped a woman in an abandoned house on May 17.
The victim told police the man “forcibly took” her to an abandoned house on Forrest Hills Drive in southwest Atlanta where he raped and beat her. She was able to use the suspect’s own knife to cut him during the attack and police believe he could still have a “scar or scab” on the right side of his neck.
The woman described her attacker as a black male, who is slightly muscular, about 5-foot-6, in his early 20s and weighing about 175 pounds. He has medium brown skin and “a low afro” and was wearing a black T-shirt, black pants and black shoes during the attack.
Police said they believe the suspect frequents the city of East Point as well as the Travel Inn on Forrest Hills Drive.
