Three men were arrested Tuesday in connection with last month’s shooting at a Douglasville Waffle House, officials said.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that suspects Lafayette Bradley, Dennis Robinson and Jeremy Caldwell — ages 25, 29 and 30, respectively — were apprehended with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force. They were picked up at two different homes in Douglasville, the news release said.
All three are charged in connection with the Aug. 30 shooting at the Waffle House at 6133 Fairburn Road.
According to authorities, Bradley pulled out a gun and shot Austell resident Paul Hampton during a dispute between “two groups of people who had been together at a party … earlier in the night.” Hampton was hospitalized following the shooting but was expected to survive.
The alleged roles of Robinson and Caldwell were unclear Wednesday night. Douglas County jail records said Robinson was charged with aggravated assault, but did not list charges for Caldwell or Bradley.
All three suspects are being held without bond.
