An 18-month drug trafficking investigation by the GBI ended in the arrests of 26 people and the seizure of more than nine pounds of methamphetamine, three ounces of heroin and 18 firearms, the agency said Tuesday.
The undercover operation based in Polk County culminated Thursday when GBI agents and local law enforcement officers executed four search warrants at three homes in Cedartown and one in nearby Buchanan, according to Joe Chesnut, the GBI's special agent in charge.
The investigation included a number of undercover drug purchases leading to the issuance of arrest warrants for 31 people believed to be involved.
The following 26 people have been arrested in connection with the year-and-a-half investigation:
• Jonathon Andrew Bradshaw, 32, three counts of trafficking methamphetamine and possession of explosives by a convicted felon
• Brittany Hope Morgan, 28, two counts of trafficking methamphetamine
• Megan Reddish Highfield, 31, one count of trafficking methamphetamine
• Eric Daniel Campbell, 41, two counts of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime
• Harley Eugene Brown, 24, conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine
• Aislinn Yvonne Haney, 35, conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine
• Jerimy Allen Chavez, 32, conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine
• Johnny Shane Oswalt, 40, conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
• Robert Anthony Mckee, 35, conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine
• William Rutledge, 45, conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine
• Tiffany Star Hooper, 39, conspiracy to purchase methamphetamine
• Wendy Miranda Hammonds, 34, conspiracy to possess methamphetamine
• Christopher Wayne Truett, 52, conspiracy to receive stolen property
• Christopher Wayne Truett Jr., 32, conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine
• Sandra Cook, 52, trafficking methamphetamine
• Billy Jack Hickson, 32, trafficking methamphetamine
• Chrescent Taylor, 31, trafficking methamphetamine
• Ashley Louis, 33, trafficking methamphetamine
• Christopher Prevant, 29, trafficking methamphetamine
• Oscar Mondragon, 23, trafficking methamphetamine
• Susan Elaine Crocker, 47, possession of methamphetamine
• Dylan James Pointer, 22, possession of methamphetamine
• Kicia Arlene Coffey, 39, possession of methamphetamine
• Amberly Star Adams, 33, possession of methamphetamine

The following five people are still wanted by the GBI:

• Demetrius Antwon Brown, 36, conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine
• Robert James Shoemaker, 39, conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine
• Michael Horace Bailey, 47, conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine
Agents say additional charges and arrests are expected as a result of their investigation.
