3 arrested in Clark Atlanta student’s murder

Authorities have arrested three men in connection with the shooting death of a Clark Atlanta University student.

Murder warrants were obtained for Joseph Clarke, 24, Devin Kingdom, 22, and Malik Ortiz, 19, all of New York.

Cierra Ford died and her boyfriend Tyrique Lobban was injured in a Nov. 25 shooting, Sandy Springs police spokesman Mike Lindstrom said. Police believe robbery was a motive.

Ford, 25, was majoring in communications. She wanted to cover issues pertaining to the African-American community.

The three men were captured and arrested by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Brevard County in Florida, Lindstrom said. They are in the Brevard County jail awaiting extradition.
