Cops: ‘Armed and dangerous’ suspect sought after shooting, injuring Hall County man

Hall County deputies are trying to locate an “armed and dangerous” man who shot and injured another man in Gainesville on Thursday evening, officials said.

An arrest warrant was secured for 23-year-old Emilio Daniel Moran. He is charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

On Thursday, Moran was dropped off at a home in the 2000 block of Microwave Tower Road off Athens Highway to retrieve some of his belongings from a previous relationship, Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Officer Derreck Booth said. After getting into an argument with some people outside, Moran shot a man and then ran from the scene, Booth said.

Around 8:30 p.m., deputies said they found the man with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to his hips. Hall County Fire Services personnel took him to a hospital.

Booth added that several adults and children were present at the time of the shooting, but no one else was injured.

Moran is 5-foot-8 and weighs 215 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and tattoos below and beside each of his eyes.
